Here is my first crack and talk about sports besides the New York Giants !!! The New York Rangers is one of six originals teams that started hockey. Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, and Finally The New York Rangers.

Last year the New York Rangers had one hell of a season made the playoffs and did something then haven’t done in a long time since probably 2014 is to win the Stanley Cup. Well we made it to the Conference Finals and was stop by a very strong Tampa Bay Lighting team. First year head coach Gerard Gallant did something last year, and the team started to believe they can win.

Talk about a load team last years With Kreider, Trouba, Zibanejad, Panarin, Fox, Miller, Lindgren, and Shesterkin, is just to name a few guys on the team. Now Shesterkin had some huge shoes to fill, How do you replace The King Of New York as we all know Henrik The King Lundqvist. This is very hard to do but Shesterkin has proved to everyone, that he is the perfect for the New York Rangers. As the team click very early and took the NHL by storm last year to make the Playoffs and even beat a very good Pittsburg Penguins Team, Rangers were down 3-1 and to win 3 games in a row in Overtime finish to advance to the second around.

Now The Second round go the playoffs you faced a very good Carolina Hurricanes team, Plus you have some ex Rangers on the team, but another gritty win by the Rangers on brink of elimination, Rangers Come back to win.

Now 3 round of the Playoffs Conference Finals, Tampa Bay Lighting wow what a team they have. Rangers jumped all over them quickly including beating Tampa Games 1 and 2, but Tampa prove why they are a very strong team, Winning Games 3, 4, 5, and 6 but very close scores. This was a heart breaker as the Rangers met way past expectations to go that far.

Now lets go 2023 New York Rangers started a little slow this year but quietly have a made a run and stayed under the radar to be third place in the Metropolitan Conference with the other top two teams Being the New Jersey Devils and the Carolina Hurricanes team. Now two out of three teams being the Devils and the Rangers had made some HUGE splashes in the trade pool this year. Congratulations to the New Jersey Devils getting Timo Meier what a great players and having a great season.

Now the Rangers made not one but two huge splashes in the trade this year one of them being Tarasenko from the St. Louis Blues, wow talk about a pick up great score fast skater, and also picked up Defensemen Niko Mikkola, he is strong and good ice presence on the ice. So this made the Rangers a strong contender.

Now let’s really talk about what happened on Feb 28, 2023 The New York Rangers made another huge splash, and got. future Hall Fame 3 time Stanley Cup winner and Conn Symth Trophy winner and MVP Patrick Kane. Now everyone is saying the Rangers are or at least should be winning the Stanley Cup since 1994.

Wow as I am typing this its been almost 30 years since I have seen the Rangers win the Stanley Cup, They came very very close win Lundqvist was in net 2014, but they were facing the LA Kings which was one of the hottest teams in the playoffs.

In 2023 the Rangers are one of 5 Eastern Conference teams to win the Stanley Cup. These years playoffs is going to be rough because you have about 5 to 6 teams that are very strong and should win the cup, but in the first around you will at least lose two or three strongest teams from the East. With the trades that Chris Drury did this year it looks like the Rangers are going for it !! And I think this team is very complete 4 very strong lines some of the best D and one of the best Goaltenders around the world !!

I am hoping these Rangers bring back the cup, Back to New York !!! Like this 1994 team did !! I hope two see another Stanley Cup for The New York Rangers, It will last another lifetime for me and the fans and the organization !!
