Let’s get down to the nitty gritty here with this word Respect. Is it something that is giving to you, it’s also something that can be taken away from you, you can buy respect, or do you earn respect ? These are just the many questions that we all ask, when it comes to this word.

For me I give respect to everyone until I feel you disrespect me or anyone of my family. I have a habit of cutting people off, even if they apologize. Doesn’t mean you get the respect back that you had with me. I will be honest I think you want me to respect you again, that person has to earn it !! Meaning show me that I can trust you again and talk to me not at me !!

I have seen people buy respect offering cash and gifts, because they are making that person suffer by giving up personal items or in cash rewards. I feel leads to blackmailing people. Which is a low point in someone life who is trying to get respect.

I remember how many times I get disrespected, and I will tell you not the best feeling. But I always try to put my best foot forward to be the better person and try to earn everyones respect, but when sometimes I do have blinders I notice a lot of people just lie and that is a big problem.

Like I said I feel like respect you need to earn sometimes, you need to take a step back and think how I can respect that person or someone and make them feel good, sometimes a small gesture does go a long way. Saying Hi, offer them a glass a water if you by the cooler, try to pick up a meal once a blue moon, but also be there for that person because you really don’t know what they are going through.

I know a lot of people take advantage but I feel like I can reach one person and gain the respect from them, it means I did something right !!
