Day light savings time starts November and the time goes back yay kinda of !!! Well at least we get back the hour of sleep we lose during the Spring time. But did you know it could actually affect your health in different ways lack of sleep, can affect your heart but I have top 5 that when you read this makes you think a little.
1. Mood and Productivity – daylight saving time disturbed your sleep in a lot of ways, When Spring comes you are losing one of hour of sleep and you have to adjust in a major way, head to bed a little earlier. It also affects your mood like can be a little grumpier, short temper, and make for some restless nights too. A doctor did some studies in this That sleep deprived, which is emotional part of the brain , with these studies things can be trigger point of a lot of things and they say with people who get complete rest they are totally fine. But it makes you wonder how true is the study too because people can have trouble sleeping for a lot of reasons.
2. Workplace Injuries – Something that can be true, not enough sleep can affect your motor skills or brain functions that can lead up to injuries. 2009 there was a study with over 500,000 people that had injuries from 1983-2006 that was up 5.7%. now in 2023 that could have gone up, but I couldn’t find any studies for it due to that fact of covid 19. With all these injuries at time 68% of people lost time from work. Which for a lot of people its very difficult nobody can lose that time.
3. Heart troubles – Yes people this could affect your heart in a big way, it doesn’t matter if you are the healthiest person or you can be someone who has compromised health problems. This is could be due a lot to undo stress because of the change go time, it can cause Strokes and also Heart attacks. Please always check yourself with doctors.
4. Diet & Appetites – This is Know for personal experience your time of eating is all messed up because either you are an hour head or an hour behind its takes time for your body to adjust to the time, but you can be wrong and its affects a lot including times you need for the bathroom. Of course sometimes you can wake up extremely hungry and you are eating in the middle of night which is never the best thing ever…
5. Car Crashes – which I think should have been the number 1 factor of being sleep deprived. Lack of sleep does hurt you affect your motor skills. I have seen people falling asleep behind the wheel in long drives, you do need to rest pull over relax sometimes that helps out, But always have to worry about other drivers because you need to be alert in a lot of ways.
Looking at this list its amazing and makes you question a little bit, I mean the studies are a little old and maybe we figured out a better way but I know I see a lot of people who are sleep deprived using energy drinks coffee and ever drugs. Please ever take care of yourselves it can mean your life !!
