#3 Movies of The 1990’s Goodfella’s

First probably one of my favorite gangster movies out there besides Casino, Godfather, American Gangster just to name a few. But today we are talking about Goodfella’s what a movie with the cast of Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, and Paul Sorvino, Directed by the man Martin Scorsese. This movies was released Sept 19, 1990 film budget was about 25 million opening weekend did about 45 million.

Film was nominated for academy awards such as Best Picture, Best Director, Joe Pesci winning Best Supporting actor. These are huge accomplishments for a movie like this the take of a mafia life but not everyone was Italian.

The Story does take place around 1955 as a young Henry Hill starts breaking into the business, I guess best words to say it he was enhanced into the Mafia life in Brooklyn New York. He has two close friends Jimmy ( Robert De Niro ) and Tommy ( Joe Pesci ) Henry popped his cherry buy selling bootleg smokes and he got caught. From there he was hooked and loved the life.

This is just a short sample of the movies matter of the fact I kinda gave you the beginning of the movie. Its a small taste the movie get better as the story goes along. I highly recommend this movie to watch I gave thus one 4 1/2 Stars.

There a couple of movies with De Niro and Pesci Casino, its funny how these two guys didn’t end up on the show of The Sopranos, because half of the movies stars you see in these movies are on the show lol, why not I would love to have seen Joe Pesci but someone over the head with a bat or shoot someone point blank. But one thing I know join a mafia or a crew like that you are in, you are in for life no matter what, I have seen and heard people talk about it even now till this day.
