So when I was thinking what to blog everyone know how I love my movies and video games, but I do love music. Trust I am not as educated about music, but there is sound that I love I would love to talk about. So in this blog I took it back to the year I was born 1979. So I went on the top 100 billiard music charts to see what was the top 5 songs, and that’s what I am going to talk about !!!

So the Number 5 song was Peaches & Herbs with the hit R&B single Reunited. This was from their album 2 Hot which came out 1978. Talk about this song was a huge crossover smash, really topping the pop and soul charts. It did spend 4 weeks in the Billboard top 100 singles charts and did sold over two million copies. The song was used in the 1999 movie Dudley Do-Right ( 1999) and hit tv shows like Son Of The Beach, Grounded For Life, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, That 79’s Show.

Talk about such a great song here the number 4 song being held by one the most famous British singers Rod Stewart With Da’ Ya’ Think I’m Sexy, from his 9th studio album. It was written by Stewart, Carmine Appice, and Duane Hitchings, but also it incorporates from the song Taj Mahal, but Jorge Ben. This song was released of Nov of 78 and it was the top of the UK Charts, and Feb of 79 it from the top 5 on the US Billboard charts. You have heard Mike Meyers sing this song in the Movie So I Married An Axe Murderer. This song has a lot of great roots

The Number 3 song of the 1979 era, Ws the funk disco song by the American R&B band Chic, this was the band’s third single and its first Billboard hot 100 and R&B truly number 1 song. Billboard ranked this song #3 in 1979 and this song was perfect for disco but all it commemorates on of the most famous places from hat era Studio 54 in New York City. This song was used in hit movies like Toy Story 3, Shrek 2, and also the movie Heavyweights, and also Roller Bounce.

Talk about number 2 songs being an ultimate classic and been in a couple of movies too, But the Song Bad Girls By Donna Summer was truly amazing. It was her 7th studio album. Bad Girls was a massive success, peaking in the top 10 of the charts in 7 countries, Including New Zealand and Spain. In the United States, it spend 5 weeks on the chart and sold 2 million copies. The Inspiration for Summer to write this amazing song Bad Girls, came after one of her assistants was offended by a police officer who thought she was a prostitute. This song was in the hit Movie The Replacements.

And Finally the hit song of 1979 the number 1 is The Knack My Sharona, Is the debut single of the band, and it was also their debut album to boot too. This band was reached number 1 on the top 100 billboard music charts, where it was holding the spot for about 6 weeks. It was Certified gold by The Recording Industry Association of America, It was Capital records fastest gold record single since The Beatles I wanna Hold Your Hand.
