1980 was amazing year for music, it was totally different. Granted I know I was only 1 years old at this point in my life but I came to realize how good the music was at that time. As you get older like I did lol you really start to listen to the music and the songs that we come to know and love, so lets get started my friends with the number 5 song !!!

And we start with the number 5 song Do That to me one more time, is a song that was preformed by the American pop duo Captain & Tennille. It was their 13th charting hit in the United States, and it was also their second number one hit on the top 100 hot Billboard charts, the other song was in 1979 Make You Move. This song has logged four consecutive weeks in the runner-up position on this behind Michael Jackson’s Rock With You

Talk about the number 4 song of 1980, Michael Jackson Rock With you, as it we know the song knocked down Do that to me one more time down to number 5, Rock With You written by Rod Temperton and produce Quincy Jones. This song was first offered to Karen Carpenter, which she was working on her first solo album, and she actually turned it down. This was Michael Jackson third number 1 song. This song has like a disco and funk feel to it. This song actually had a music video it know to be one the greatest videos of all time !!

The number 3 song Magic recorded by British-Australian singer Olivia Newton-John, for the soundtrack of the 1980 musical fantasy movie Xanadu. This song was written and produced by John Farrar. Also this song has a little trouble it was involved in a lawsuit, for the use of Magic, which was used in a high school musical performance. Magic was an original song in the 1980 musical movie fantasy Xanadu.

Wow down the number 2 song which I know everyone is very familiar with, including me. Another Brick In The Wall, is a three part composition on Pink Floyd’s 1979 rock opera The Wall, written by the bass player Roger Waters. Part 2 is a protest song against corporal punishment and rigid and abusive schooling, this song does feature children’s choir, at the suggestion of the producer Bob Erin, Pink Floyd add the element of Disco. Part 1m The Protagonist, Pink, begins building q metaphorical wall around himself.Part 3 dismisses everyone he knows as “Just Bricks In The Wall ” …

And the number 1 song of the year 1980 is Call Me by American new wave band Blondie and it was the themed song from the 1980 filmed American Giglo. The Song was produced and composed by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, with the lyrics by Blondie Singer Debbie Harry. The song was release February of 1980, and the song spent six consecutive weeks at number 1.
