That is a question that sometimes it’s hard to answer!! Is it a sports figure, is it a movie star, is it a television star, is it a musician, or is it a DJ, is it a fictional character, or could it be a family member ? These are all great questions, last week I talked about bullying and this week I wanna talk about who is your personal hero ?

My Personal hero is my father, now don’t get me wrong my mother is a hero too, But when its comes to learning like street smart I think my father hands down. My mother she is very book smart, and I feel that I am like my father, I. might look like my mother but I am like my dad working hard and earning.

So This year I started to podcast on my own and I will say its very hard a lot of competitive shows out there, and here I am with my little dinky show trying to make a name for myself. It reminds me like my father grant he was a waiter at high end restaurants but he made a name from himself being the best out there. Me I am trying my hardest to make a name from myself Sleevie G, but sometimes I have my doubts, I am not going to lie its very hard people think its easy to book people on shows and talent is hard. I am trying to do my best to do a quality show the represent me and my last name Gomez.

I know my Dad is looking down on me and proud of me and what I have down, but I feel if my show and my blogs don’t do well, I think I have failed. Trying to sell Key Chains Stickers Hats it aint easy and remembering you are catering to the people not you !! Something I am learning on my own very quickly.

I remember how hard my father worked to make sure my mother and I and the family had a hot dinner, People don’t realize my parents came from nothing working their butt’s off to give me the life the didn’t have at all, My Mother came from Cuba with nothing and had to learn to speak English go to school and work, and she now a college educated woman, and that makes me proud of my mother. My dad work all odd jobs because he wanted to make sure his family have everything food clothes a roof over are heads.

I saw how they both struggled coming up and giving me things I thought I would never have, Now I have a good job good life good wife and awesome kids, I don’t want my kids or wife or family to ever worry about when the next meal is or get the latest fashion, I will give up everything to make sure they have everything they need.

This is something my father really installed in me !!! Work hard make sure everyone is good and then make sure you are good, I will always give everything for my family and friends. But sometimes it ain’t enough, Sometimes I stay up and think what can I do to help them more. Just like my father, he would do anything for anyone just like me, I think my father is my hero and his memory will always go on.

Dad there isn’t one day I don’t think about you !!! I come to realize I had some major shoes to fill when you left us. But you memory is going on dad knowing how much I miss you and telling the kids funny stories about you. I can’t thank you enough Dad , you are missed and loved everyday. Dad please please help me protect my family and myself you made me the person I am today !!! WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU !!!!
